Design and Implementation of Digital Video Intercom System

  • 摘要: 设计一种以多媒体SOC芯片Z228为核心的可视对讲终端, 该芯片集成了多媒体处理单元MPEG-4编解码器、ARM核控制单元和许多常用的外部设备接口和控制器.实验结果表明:该终端能在单芯片内实现视频数据的采集和MPEG-4编解码;实现了以VGA (640×480) 分辨率、每秒30帧的视频数据进行可视对讲的效果.

     

    Abstract: A video intercom terminal which can reduce the cost as well as the complexity of such a system is introduced in this paper.By employing a multimedia SOC Z228 which contains a multi-media processing unit MPEG-4 codec and a control unit known as ARM core as its central unit, the terminal also has many peripheral interfaces and controllers often used, such as the LCD controller, the camera Sensor interface and the audio data bus interface.The experiment result shows that the terminal can acquire the video data and then code or decode it according to the MPEG-4 standard within a single chip and it can be used to communicate visually at a speed of 30 frames per second under the resolution of 640 times 480 via VGA.
