Abstract: A new remote detecion method was proposed.By analyzing the allocation mechanism and construction of MAC address,this method can identify automatically whether there are any VMware in the network,at the same time,it can analysis and detect the VMware by research the working pattern and communication theory of VMware.By comparing the test results of this method and NMAP,the simulation results show that this method has a higher accuracy and completeness in the identification and detection of the VMware.
