Abstract: This paper proposes a hyponymy extraction method based on parsing and rule matching,using sentences that meeting "is-a" pattern as research subjects. To solve the problem that difficult to get hyponym from complex sentences,this paper presents a method to get center concept based on pasring result. According to the positon of center concept and hyponym boundaries, this paper designs a rule for hyponym extraction. Experiment result gets a higher accuracy rate and recall rate, confirming the validity of the method.
