A Practical Iris Positioning Method for Mental Fatigue Monitoring

  • 摘要: 针对精神疲劳监测中虹膜定位的实时性要求较高、背景较为固定以及可能存在头部扭转与脸部倾斜和遮挡等特点,利用肤色模型快速定位与检测人脸、椭圆拟合进行人脸姿态估计与倾斜矫正,方差投影粗定位眼睛、直方图统计和自定义窗函数获取自适应虹膜分割阈值对虹膜进行准确分割和定位,形成一种实用虹膜定位与分割方法.实验结果表明,该方法不仅能够快速、准确地定位虹膜,并且对存在较大角度的脸部扭转和倾斜以及头发遮挡的情况均能够有效处理.

     

    Abstract: This paper describes a practical tiered progressive real-time iris positioning method for mental fatigue monitoring, considering the process of face detection, the positioning of eyes and iris segmentation, is presented According to the characteristics of higher real-time performance demanding, with relatively fixed background and possible head rotation, face tilt and hair occlusion in iris localization for. Skin color model is used to rapidly detect face, ellipse fitting is used to perform face pose estimation and tilt correction, variance projection is used to roughly locate eyes, histogram and custom window function is used to adaptively obtain the iris threshold, and the adaptive threshold segmentation is used for accurate iris positioning. Experimental results show that our method can quickly and accurately locate the iris, can effectively handle the problem of face rotation and tilt in large angle and the facial obscured by hair.
