An Improved Index Coding Algorithm Based on Search-Order Coding

  • 摘要: 提出了一种图像矢量量化的无损索引编码算法.该算法通过利用索引域中的相关性, 对矢量量化器输出的索引图进行有效的编码, 并且不引入额外的编码失真.该算法是在经典算法SOC (Search-Order Coding) 基础上的改进, 实验结果表明, 与经典SOC算法相比, 文中算法实现了更好的压缩性能, 且在码书越大的情况下, 性能提升越为明显.

     

    Abstract: This paper presents a lossless index coding algorithm.The algorithm uses the correlation in the index domain of the index map for effective coding.The proposed algorithm is an improved algorithm based on the SOC (Search-Order Coding) .Experimental results show that compared with the classical SOC algorithm, the proposed algorithm has a better compression performance.And the larger codebook we use, the better improvement it achieves.
