Abstract: There is great potential for developing traditional edge detection methods.Single edge detection method can only reflect one side edge information of the image,an image edge detection method based on improved Prewitt method is presented to combine benefits of different methods.By comparison verification,the image edge detected is clear,lines in it are more complete,less noise and better antinoise performance than others.
