Optimization of Intra4×4 Prediction of H.264 Based on TTA Architecture

  • 摘要: 描述了一种基于传输触发结构 (Transport Triggered Architecture, TTA) 的专用处理器 (Application SpecificInstruction Set Processor, ASIP) , 用于实现H.264帧内预测算法Intra4×4预测模式.仔细分析了Intra4×4算法的特性和应用通用DSP时的缺陷, 介绍了在MOVE Framework开发环境下实现Intra4×4算法的专用处理器设计流程及方法.性能分析显示, 与通用DSP相比, 基于TTA技术的ASIP具有资源消耗少, 处理效率高的特点, 符合嵌入式视频处理系统的要求.

     

    Abstract: This paper describes an Application Specific Instruction Set Processor (ASIP) based on the Transport Triggered Architecture (TTA) which realized the algorithm of Intra4×4 mode of H.264.The paper takes an insight into the algorithm and provides the reader with the method and flow of building the processor within MOVE framework.Compared with the general purpose DSP, the ASIP based on TTA with only a few resources can achieves much higher performance.
