A Matrix Approach to the Design of Low-Voltage Low-Power Log-Domain Current-Mode Step-Gain Filter

  • 摘要: 本文提出了一种基于状态空间方程理论的阶跃增益对数域CMOS电流模滤波器设计新方法,并构建了构成阶跃增益对数域高阶滤波器的基本状态方程及其对应的基本电路单元.可简化电路设计,易于实现电路优化;MOS管工作在亚域值区,低电压低功耗;电路中间变量可观测,可实现阶跃增益及可调带宽.采用该方法,实现了一款基于0.35μm工艺的二阶CMOS对数域电路,工作电压1.4V,功耗15μW,电路面积150×160μm2.

     

    Abstract: A novel approach based on state space equation is developed that yields a step-gain log-domain CMOS current-mode filter design methodology and the basic circuit unit of the log-domain filter is proposed.According to the methodology, the responding filter has some advantages: low power, low voltage, step gain and adjustable bandwidth.Moreover, the design flow is simple and easy to be optimized.Based on the methodology, a second-order filter (15 μW@1.4V) is presented in the 0.35 μm technology and occupies the area of 150×160 μm2.
