Green Data Center: Energy-Saving Mechanism and Policy of Servers

  • 摘要: 从数据中心的能效评价和能耗组成入手,说明了服务器节能在数据中心节能中的重要性,介绍了服务器的节能机制和策略,包括处理器动态调节、电源管理和虚拟机动态调度等,接着比较了不同层面的节能策略,对目前主要的集成节能方案进行了小结,最后阐述了数据中心服务器节能研究和应用上面临的挑战.

     

    Abstract: This paper firstly introduces the measurement of data center's energy efficiency and the proportion of components,illustrating the importance of servers' energy efficiency.Some energy-saving mechanisms and policies are then reviewed,including DVFS,sleeping and virtual machine placement.Finally,several key issues on research and application for the green data center are discussed.
