Low Noise and Low DC Offset Zero IF WLAN Receiving Front-end Design

  • 摘要: 提出一种低噪放和混频器融合结构的零中频接收方案:采用折叠结构降低开关对的偏置电流取得良好的闪烁噪声性能,同时具有优越的增益性能;通过共模与差模反馈来改善直流失调,稳定中频输出;利用差分电路结构以及版图优化布局获得高的二阶交调指标.基于Chartered 0.18μm CMOS工艺的Spectre-RF模拟仿真表明,电路在802.11a频段取得了良好的噪声,直流失调等电学性能.芯片整体功耗为16.5mW,占用面积为0.23mm2.

     

    Abstract: A zero IF receiving front-end with merged LNA and mixer is proposed.Low flicker noise is achieved by decreasing bias current of switching pairs of folded architecture,with high gain as well.DC offset is improved by common and differential mode feedbacks,making the IF output level stable.High IIP2 is obtained by differential circuits'architecture and optimized layout.Spectre-RF simulations based on Chartered 0.18 μm CMOS process indicate that the presented receiving front-end behaviors good performance in noise,DC offset,and etc.Power consumption of the chip is 16.5 mW with size of that being 0.23 mm2.
