A Software Framework of Message Passing for Parallel Computing on Distributed DSP Systems

  • This paper presents a layered message passing software framework and an efficient mechanism that decouples signal processing algorithm design from details of data communication for special-purpose parallel DSP system.We also described the structure of each layer and the interaction between layers.Inter-processor communication model and hardware platform topology model are used for the design of shortest path route algorithm for the needs of creating transferring table in which the router information is stored for each DSP node.Finally, the framewok is applied to a TigerSHARC DSP multi-processors plateform.
