A Proactive Multi-Tree Routing Protocol in Wireless Mesh Networks and NS-3 Simulation

In view of wireless mess networks, rate, a new routing protocol of PMTRP (Proactive Multi-Tree Routing Protocol) that supports multi-path routing is proposed in this paper. By setting up proactive multi-tree and comparing AALM (Accumulated Airtime Link Metric), it does route selection in the process of data transmission. By implementing the PMTRP routing protocol on NS-3 network simulator, the comparing between PMTRP routing protocol and the default HWMP routing protocol in IEEE 802.11s proves that PMTRP has better network performance.
