TCP-Like Congestion Control Algorithm for Stream Media Transmission

  • In order to improve the network efficiency,this paper present a kind of TCP-Like congestion control algorithm used in the transmission based on RTP/RTCP.Algorithm uses the TCP validation mechanism and the flow model and the parameter definition of RRT and overtime clock value is presented.AIMD is used to improve window control mechanisms and adjust the transmission rate of RTP data frame.At the same time the TCP retransmission mechanism is completely abandoned to ensure the continuity of streaming and real-time.the experimental results show that the algorithm enhances the network bandwidth utilization and improves the congestion control capabilities and fairness.
