An Efficient Anti-collision Techinque for UHF RFID Reader

  • Aiming at avoiding various interference problems of ultra high frequency (UHF) RFID multi-reader networking,a multiple reader network planning and coordination algorithm is proposed,and the algorithm is analyzed in theory.In this paper,in order to ensure the reader range and solve interference problem between the readers,we analyze the conflict types of readers and existing anticollision algorithms,use existing LBT technology and Multiple reader anti-collision method in the ISO/IEC 18000-6C protocol,and control reader transmit power.Finally,experimental tests were also performed on the reader hardware composed of ASIC AS 3992 and micro-control STM32.The experimental results show that the algorithm can be applied in existing reader hardware platform without additional requirements,such as extra hardware and new protocol,therefore,it can be applied in engineering.
