  • Software recession is detected as soon as possible, which is vital to huge and complex software system. In this paper, Java technology is adopted in the environment variable detector, which based on the cross-platform can monitor resource consumption of software in running. Data collected can determine the basic reasons of software recession and be used in the failure diagnosis and software rejuvenation. Meanwhile, these data may be used as performance data for analysis and plan components.
