SAR Image Denoising Compression Based on Second Generation Bandelet Transform

Based on the statistic characters of SAR images,and constructing contrast pyramid,take speckle noise reduction and contrast modulation as pretreatments and use second Bandelet transform to compress SAR images in this paper. Better compression performance can be achieved when bpp value is not very low.This method is applicable for SAR images with rich directional information and complicated background.
