A Reliability-Based Routing Scheme for Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks

  • In this paper,an improved GPSR routing protocol is proposed,which considers not only consider the distance,but also takes into account the right direction.And then improve the forwarding right node selection to increase the communication reliability.The VanetMobiSim is used to construct typical urban simulation scenario.The protocol is simulated in NS-2under the urban scenario and compared with traditional GPSR and the new GPSR routing protocol.The simulation results show that the new GPSR protocol has higher packet delivery rate and lower loss rate,but its average end-to-end delay has not changed much compared to traditional GPSR.Therefore,the new GPSR protocol is suitable for VANETs,which requires relatively low response time and higher transmission reliability.
