An Improved Routing Algorithm of Double Chain Transmission Based on Ant Algorithm

A double chain transmission routing algorithm based on Ant Algorithm (ADCT) is proposed. Firstly, it uses the double selected cluster method to choose cluster heads, which takes many factors such as residual energy of nodes, average energy of network and the size of the cluster into consideration. Secondly, it uses Two-way transmission way based on optimized ant algorithm to communicate cluster heads with the sink-node. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm significantly improves the network performance, prolongs the network lifetime and balances the network energy consumption.
