Algorithm for Locating Nodes in WSN Based on Modifying Hops and Hopping Distances

  • Aiming at the poor positioning accuracy and the higher requirements for network topology of DV-HOP algorithm,nodes,an improved DV-HOP algorithm is proposed, mainly in the following three aspects:The ranging based RSSI method were used to adjust the number of hops; By removing the remote beacon node we can reduce the accumulation of errors caused by the excessive number of hops on one routine; Based on the method of weighting processing hop-distance of each beacon node, the estimated average hop-distance which upon location information will be improved. Simulation results show that the positioning accuracy of the algorithm has been significantly improved without additional hardware overhead. It is a feasible node localization solutions of wireless sensor network.
