Real-time Media Transmission in Software-defined Content Network

  • Content routing of Content Centric Network (CCN) provides the possibility of efficient video content distribution. Protocol oblivious forwarding is an extension of OpenFlow protocol of software-defined network (SDN). In this paper, we design a real time media transmission infrastructure based on software defined content network (SDCN) which is a prototype of CCN based POF. Then we deploy the plan in a real environment and do experiments. The results demonstrate the feasibility and advantages of the scheme.
