Digitally Assisted Pipeline ADC

  • There are several non-ideal factors exist in pipeline ADC,these errors will distort the ADC performance in different aspects.To further improve the pipeline ADC performance,general description about the ADC error sources is needed,and the corresponding methods to eliminate the errors are need to be researched.In the front part of this article,a comprehensive introduction to the error sources in pipeline ADC transformation path is done,the corresponding calibration methods is introduced,then several commonly used digitally assisted calibration methods are described,in the last part,comparison between different calibration methods is done and a conclusion is drawn.
