The Moving Object's Shadow Elimination Algorithm Based on Integer Wavelet Transform

The wavelet transform has multi-resolution analysis properties.Integer wavelet transform is the second generation wavelet, it not only has wavelet transform's multi-resolution analysis properties, but also has particular advantage in fast operation.The algorithm is applied to vehicle shadow elimination in vehicle surveillance system.Experimental results show that this localization method is efficient and reliable, while satisfying the real-time requirement of the vehicle surveillance system.
