A Single Channel Full Duplex IEEE802.15.4 MAC Protocol

  • To deal with the inefficient data rate and hidden node issue in wireless sensor network based on half duplex IEEE802.15.4,a single channel full duplex IEEE802.15.4 MAC protocol was put forward.We designed the frame structure and transmission mechanism of single channel full duplex communication.It decided each period of single channel full duplex communication dynamically according to the situation of data packet load storage,with which we achieved 129% average throughput gain and greatly improved data rate.The single channel full duplex communication can suppress hidden node issue.This protocol provided a mechanism called shared random back-off,which decreased the hand shake request times and added single channel full duplex communication chance.With this protocol,we further suppressed the collision status of hidden node issue,reduced the bit error rate and achieved a better network reliability.
