Design and implementation of domestic BMC based on VPX platform

  • Aiming at the special requirements of high reliability and independent control of servers based on VPX architecture in aerospace, a BMC controller design solution based on domestic embedded ARM control chip is designed and implemented. The design meets VITA46.11 standard and IPMI protocol. It adopts the redundancy mechanism of main and standby to improve the reliability and ensure the normal service of the system. It can communicate with the IPMC on the function board through the dual redundant IPMB bus. The IPMI LAN communication with the remote host adopts RMCP+ protocol, combining HMAC-SHA1 algorithm and AES-CBC-128 encryption algorithm for identity authentication, key exchange and encrypted transmission, to realize data integrity and ensure communication security, so as to realize the acquisition and monitoring of hardware health information as well as power on and off control. The test results show that the design scheme is effective and feasible, and can ensure the reliability and safety on the basis of meeting the functional requirements.
