Optimization of Intra4×4 Prediction of H.264 Based on TTA Architecture

This paper describes an Application Specific Instruction Set Processor (ASIP) based on the Transport Triggered Architecture (TTA) which realized the algorithm of Intra4×4 mode of H.264.The paper takes an insight into the algorithm and provides the reader with the method and flow of building the processor within MOVE framework.Compared with the general purpose DSP, the ASIP based on TTA with only a few resources can achieves much higher performance.
