The Design of Real-time Video Transmission System Based on Wireless Network

According to the research on streaming media technology and network protocol,this paper designed and implemented a real-time streaming media transmission system,which is based on RTP and FEC.Within the framework of C/S network architecture,the system was implemented as follows: the server encapsulated data packet through the RTP protocol while taking into the FEC mechanism;the client reconstructed the packet sequence,and then located the lost packets by RTP Packet's header information and recovered them by using FEC.The practical tests show that the system can effectively guarantee both the real-time performance and the integrity of the receiver's packets transmitted through the wireless network.
