A Broadband Optical Transceiver of RoF System

  • This study proposes a broadband RF optical transceiver applied to Radio over Fiber (RoF) system, which has low noise, wide band and high linearity. The structures of transmitter module and receiver module are reported respectively, including the RF amplifying circuit, the laser driving circuit and the power management module. The electrical signal reflection loss S11 of the module is controlled below -10 dB in the DC-10 GHz bandwidth, the gain is kept about 9 dB in DC-8 GHz bandwidth, the OIP3 can reach more than 28 dBm, and the clear constellation diagram of the photoelectric system is obtained. As the key part of RoF system, RF optical transceiver has broad application prospects.
