Research of a New Localization Algorithm for Wireless Sensor Networks

  • The traditional wireless sensor network localization algorithm average error is large, energy consumption is too high and positioning accuracy is not ideal, a new localization algorithm for wireless sensor networks IMDV-Hop.The local hops Si and correction factor δi are introduced into the algorithm, with the correction factor for local hops amendment to the positioning node to the anchor node to be the average number of hops is more realistic;by weighing accuracy and energy consumption, we calculate the average per-hop distance for three cases, making the average distance per hop is closer to the true value.Simulation results show that the IMDV-Hop algorithm average positioning error is smaller and it has less communication overhead and it could achieve better accuracy in the irregular network.
