Pilot Based Channel Estimation Algorithm for OFDM Low-voltage Power Line Communication Systems

  • To suppress the noise and attenuation of power line communications (PLC) , OFDM PLC systems use time-domain spread structure which can improve the reliability of pilot and data.This paper Confirms the best value of maximum multipath delay in LMMSE algorithm for time-domain spread structure.An improved channel estimation algorithm utilizing pilots in channel estimation as much as possible is proposed, which performs better than LMMSE algorithm through.Simulation results indicate that the bit error rate (BER) of the proposed algorithm is lower than that of the conventional LMMSE algorithm, especially when signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) is under 0dB.
