Design of an extensible framework for QCA circuit simulation software

  • With respect to the Quantum-dot cellular automata (QCA) circuit simulation, many different algorithms have been proposed, among which the two most important are bistable and coherence vector algorithms. As the state-of-the-art standard simulation tool, QCADesigner gives the initial implementation for these two algorithms, and many other works are built on top of them. Although QCADesigner is an open source software, but unfortunately, it doesn't take software architecture into consideration, resulting huge difficulties on its extensibility.To overcome the shortcoming, a QCA circuit simulation software framework has been implemented, upon which bistable and coherence vector algorithms are reimplemented. Besides, a QCA power analysis algorithm is implemented using this framework, demonstrating its well extensibility.
