Development of An IP Evaluation Platform Based on SoC

  • Nowadays system on a chip (SoC) is designed with a number of IP cores, most of them come from the third parties. Evaluations of IP cores become a focused problem. In this paper, an IP evaluation platform based on SoC is developed. Firstly, with LEON3 processor, a SoC platform is built up, which is provided for IP evaluation. Then scripts are designed, and also a GUI (Graphical User Interface) is developed using QT Creator for the SoC platform to simplify the integration and evaluation of IP cores. Finally, DES IP core is evaluated using the IP evaluation platform, which demonstrates the applicability of the platform.
