Research on the Power-rate-distortion Model of the Video Coding in Mobile Environments

  • In this paper, based on the preliminary power model, we introduce the power factor to the classical rate distortion model, and then amend the traditiona1 rate mode1 and the distortion mode1. After that we setup the dynamic power rate distortion model based on the quanzation parameter and intra rate. The simulation results showed the accuracy and robustness of the three dimension model. The model will pave a way for the dynamic control and optimization of the power, video quality and bandwidth in the wireless video coding.
