Approach of Image Zooming Based on Sobel Operators and Blending Rational Interpolation

  • In order to enhance image zooming quality, this paper presents a image zooming method based on Sobel operators and non-linear blending rational.First, used a Sobel operator to extracting image outline.And then built rational interpolation surface by bivariate Newton-Thiele's vector continued fraction.Finally, resampled the rational interpolation function and achieved the image zooming according the request.The experimental results show that this method is efficient in processing image zooming, and easy to calculate and program, so it is a more practical method.
