OppIoV Congestion Control Strategy Based on Message Priority

  • For network congestion of Opportunistic Internet of Vehicle, a congestion control strategy of vehicle nodes based on the priority of the message transmission is proposed. When the storage space of vehicle nodes is insufficient and need to store the new messages, all messages within the vehicle nodes according to their priority from high to low arrangement, dropped the lowest priority message, until there is storage space to receive a new message. Through a lot of simulation experiments and compared with traditional discarded strategies. The congestion control strategy can significantly increase the messages submitted rate, reduce overhead, and has better adaptive ability of network congestion situation.
