Realizing of EDF Scheduling Algorithm over Switched Ethernet in the Cut-through Mode

An improved FTT (Flexible Time-Triggered communication) paradigm was proposed for hard real-time communications of periodic messages over a COTS-based switched Ethernet.In addition, an EDF-based real-time scheduling algorithm for periodic messages on a switched Ethernet in the cut-through mode was presented.Simulation results showed the advantages of the proposed Real-Time scheduling algorithm in terms of using the aggregated switch throughput.
