A Voltage-Controlled CMOS Electronically Tunable Second Generation Current Conveyor(ECCⅡ)

  • A Voltage-Controlled double output CMOS electronically tunable second generation current conveyor (ECCⅡ) with strong voltage following ability、high precision and low power dissipation was presented. The introduction of the balanced configuration of differential pairs used as current steering elements insure the current transfer accuracy and also make the current gain of the proposed ECCⅡ-can be controlled electronically by adjusting the gain control voltage of the ECCII with a current gain between-2 and 2;the using of the current steering elements also reduces the current consumption by avoiding excessive use of current mirror;the voltage control mode increases the current input range;the isolation of current input terminal from current plus/minus circuits ensure accurate voltage following ability.Using CSMC 0.35μm CMOS process model, the HSPICE simulation results show that VX/ VY and IZ/IX have-3 dB bandwidth of 83.5 MHz and 136 MHz for the proposed ECCⅡ respectively, the proposed circuit power consumption is 1.751 5 mW.The ECCII has comprehensive applications in the tunable current mode continuous time filters.
