A Novel Motion-Search-Pattern Based on Motion-Detection

The motion-estimation of inter-frame-encoding occupied a large proportion in calculated amount of video encoding, proper search-pattern of motion-estimation could efficiently decrease the complexity of video encoding. This paper proposed a search-pattern based on motion-detection. Compared to traditional UMhexagonS search-patern, this new search-pattern could decreased average 60% of caculated amount while keeping same PSNR and rate. This new search-pattern is ease to be implemented using ASIC and has a good conpatibility to various of video standard.
