Study of Brute Force for Word Document Based on GPU

This paper firstly analyzes the Microsoft word document security encryption mechanism, the RC4 algorithm and the word document encryption application, and then a new brute force algorithm for password cracking based on GPU was proposed based on the GPU.The proposed algorithm utilized the high-speed parallel characteristics of GPU and executed the brute force task for word document with multi threads.The experimental results show that the existing security encryption method of word document is not safe.
