Analysis of Multi-target Communication Jamming Effect for OFDM-based Chaotic Noise Jamming

  • An OFDM-based chaotic noise multi-target jamming technology is proposed by using the OFDM modulation framework and chaotic sequence as the baseband noise source. Analysis reveals that this technology can be used to generate jamming signals adaptively according to the frequency spectral characteristic of multiple targets, benefiting from its good time-frequency characteristic and controllability in jamming frequency and power spectral density (PSD). Computer Simulations for multi-target communication jamming at QPSK and 16QAM systems show that OFDM-based chaotic noise jamming achieves power advantage of about 3dB over noise-FM spot jamming, and more than 10dB over noise-FM barrage jamming. As a result, OFDM-based chaotic noise jamming can achieve better jamming effect than traditional noise-FM jamming and is well suitable for multi-target jamming in wide band.
