Research on timing budget method based on block abstract view

  • In order to optimize the interface timing constraints of the block, improve the consistency of timing convergence between the top level and the block, and at the same time minimize the design cycle and the amount of calculation of tools, it is proposed to combine the abstract views of the block after routing optimization to the top level for timing budget, and provide more accurate interface timing constraints for the block according to the budget results. After the timing budget is completed, the interface timing constraints of the block are applied to the block design for further optimization. After the timing convergence of the block, the block is assembled to the top level for timing analysis. It is found that the timing between the top level and the block is convergent. The results show that using the abstract view of the block to optimize the block after the timing budget is completed at the top level can make the timing between the top level and the block converge more easily, thus improving the consistency of timing convergence between the top level and the block.
