A New Current-mode LC Oscillator with Automatic Amplitude Aalibration

  • 摘要: 介绍了一种新型电流模结构的LC振荡器.主要用于向电磁感应式的传感器提供激励信号,自动稳幅设计用于克服线圈在PCB加工过程中的工艺离散性,与传统的交叉耦合式VCO结构不同,本设计采用电流模式工作在可更容易实现振幅的校准在,LC谐振单元集成于PCB上,处理电路则以标准O.35μm的CMOS工艺实现,电路工作于3.3 MHz,在5 V的电源电压下消耗O.7~1.9mA的电流.振荡幅度能够至少保持在中心为4.19V的±5 mV范围内,本设计经过RF仿真被证实可用于高频应用.

     

    Abstract: A new circuit structure of current-mode LC oscillator,which is designed for electromagnetic induction sensor with automatic amplitude calibration(AAC) to correct the PCB process dispersion of the coils,is presented. Different from traditional VCO structure,the new one works through current mode,which makes the amplitude calibration easily.The LC tank is integrated in the PCB and the circuit is implemented in a standard 0.35μm CMOS process.It works at 3.3MHz(low frequency) and draws between 0.7 and 1.9 mA from a 5V supply.Consider the amplitude,it can be calibrated within 5mV around 4.19V conservatively.The new design can be used for high frequency application on the result of RF simulation.
