An Accurate and Flexible Calibration Method for Projector-Camera

  • 摘要: 提出了一种投影仪-摄像机系统的简易高精度标定方法.系统标定的难点在于如何精确地建立投影仪和标定板平面之间的坐标对应关系.为了消除标定板图案对投影图案的干扰,提出了一种自适应的两步图案生成以及投影方法来建立坐标对应关系,提高了坐标对应关系的精度.该方法操作方便、简单,仅仅需要一个摄像机标定中常用的棋盘格标定板即可实现高精度标定,并不需要任何其他高精度设备.实验结果显示标定的最大重投影误差为0.554 2像素,均方根重投影误差为0.181 0像素.

     

    Abstract: In this paper, a flexible method with high accuracy is proposed to calibrate the projector-camera system. For this issue, the major challenge is how to acquire accurate coordinates’ correspondences. In this approach, in order to avoid the interference between the projected pattern and the pattern on the calibration board, an adaptive two step pattern generation and projection method is proposed to establish the coordinates’ correspondences. Moreover, the flexibility of the method is also kept. Only the common checkerboard calibration board is used without any additional high precision devices. The experiment results show that the maximum value of reprojection error for projector is less than 0.554 2 pixels, and the RMS of the reprojection error is 0.181 0 pixels.
