Abstract: The handoff algorithm is one of important technologies on VHF/UHF Data link to enlarge the concerned field of the aircraft.Focus on the disadvantage of the present algorithm on VHF/UHF data link and the analysis of the common detection algorithms and the characteristics of VHF/UHF data link.The paper proposes a new handoff algorithm based on data fusion to improve reliability and seamlessness of communication on striding areas.The algorithm makes the probability of false alarm and missed detection smaller,and the ground-to-air communication more reliable.
