Abstract:
Due to the particularity of the asymmetric network structure, there are difficulties in using the protocol for clock synchronization. This article analyzes the reason why the protocol is difficult to be compatible with asymmetric network. It focuses on the defects of using 1588v2 in the asymmetric ring network and gives simulations of original algorithm based on the protocol.Thus, a set of P2P transparent clock-based clock synchronization algorithms for asymmetric ring network is designed on the basis of avoiding the use of delayAsymmetry correction values. Experimental results show that the algorithm improves the synchronization accuracy and makes the 1588v2 protocol better applicable to ring networks.
